For Readers

Thank you so much for clicking on this page – I’m delighted you’re interested! (If you just got lost, please don’t tell me…)

I am planning a FAQ section in the near future, and if you have a question you would like answered, do feel free to get in touch!

Random Facts About Me

  1. I wrote my first book aged around seven. It was about a magical cat and was written on rainbow-coloured A4 lined paper. Which, come to think of it, probably kicked off my addiction to nice stationery, too…
  2. I make a book soundtrack for each work-in-progress and listen to it repeatedly while writing. The tracks match the emotion and atmosphere of the book and, after a while, it becomes a shortcut to entering that particular world.
  3. I don’t like coffee but cannot function without buckets of tea.

Want more? You can follow me on Facebook and Instagram, and I’ve also been dipping my toe into BlueSky. I do have a profile on X (ex-Twitter) but I’m not really there anymore.

I have been interviewed in a few places and have linked to a selection below.

There are also a few reader extras – Crow Investigations desktop wallpaper, Harper Family recipes and an exclusive FREE short story (featuring a young Iris Harper).

For all of these, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes extras, book chat and giveaways, join my readers club. Head here to sign-up. I would love to meet you!

Both The Language of Spells and The Secrets of Ghosts are set in the fictional town of Pendleford. To read all about the importance of setting (and to see some lovely pictures of the real-life town which inspired Pendleford) click here.
