Some days the writing goes well; words trip merrily across the screen, filling the dreaded white space with line upon line of effortless prose. Okay, on good days, I get my word count with the bare minimum of wailing and whining and a moderate ten or so mugs of tea.
And then there are days like today.
After making a breakthrough earlier in the week and finally ‘getting’ a few sticky details that had me stalled and confused, I’ve slowed down and have, in fact, decided that the WIP is secretly plotting to kill me.
On days like this I like to trawl for advice and remind myself that writing is hard.
